Our Boarding Houses

We do not have large dormitories.  Depending on the age of the girls, they may share a room or have their own:

• Younger girls will share rooms with two or three others
• Girls in Upper Sixth will either share with one other girl, or have a single room.  

Your daughter will have a telephone beside her bed, and an internet connection which will allow her to access the internet via the school network if she brings her laptop.  Each house also has computers, and there are communal telephones and fax facilities. 

All of the houses are on Linden Road, which is five minutes' walk from school. The traditional Victorian houses offer spacious, comfortable accommodation.

The emphasis in the houses is on providing a homely environment and on meeting the needs of the individual. Girls who board at The High make firm friendships which often last a lifetime.

Older girls benefit from having comfortable study bedrooms whilst the younger boarders' supervised prep sessions ensure a structured approach to school work.
