BHSG Aberdare Cup team have reached the Semi- final stage of the regional knock out competition and will now play either Oundle School or Boston Grammar School.

In the 1^st round our team had a convincing win against Kimbolton School. Rosie Knight, Hana Staddon, Rebecca Wright, and Rebecca Dorgham all won their singles matches in straight sets. This gave us the win so the doubles matches were not played.

We faced a strong team from Uppingham in the second round but after the singles it was 3-1 to BHSG. We just needed one doubles win to secure the match but Uppingham were older, wiser, and stronger doubles players and the match ended in a 3-3 tie.

We then had to play a deciding Championship tie break match so Rosie and Hana went on court to play the pair they had just lost against. Undaunted and thinking positively they used their heads, changed their tactics, and pulled off a brilliant win by 10 points to 3.
