Children in Need by Annabel Hill
On the 20th of November Bedford High School fundraised for Children in Need in a variety of fun creative ways, raising money for disadvantaged children, and young people in the UK including those who suffer from mental, physical or sensory disabilities; behavioural or psychological disorders; are living in poverty or situations of deprivation; or suffering through distress, abuse or neglect.
Bedford High School girls made a huge effort to contribute to this by raising over £500.
All this was achieved through having a themed mufti day - Fame, which all the girls joined in with and donated money, and also face painting, resulting in the school being ignited with colour! To top the atmosphere within the school, a cake sale was held, with girls very kindly donating cakes, and even more girls buying them!
The catering staff were enthusiastic and got their faces painted - including the pastry chef who had a cupcake painted on her face, giving an extra edge to the lunchtime experience!
All in all, the day was a great success, and it is fantastic to have achieved such a great contribution for Children in Need from the Bedford High girls.
