School News

The Joint French Society of BHSG, DAHS and Bedford School opened the new school year with a well-attended event in the Memorial Hall. 

Each school led one or more activities to break the ice and get everyone talking in French.  After breaking for a goûter of pains au chocolat and jus d'orange, we moved into a more formal debate on the motion that a woman's place is in the kitchen.  Much lively argument ensued! 

Afterwards good relations were restored by a fun activity based on Plastique Bertrand's "Ça plane pour moi", culminating in an off the cuff performance by the teachers. 

Both students and teachers enjoyed the opportunity to get together with friends and colleagues from the other schools, and we are already looking forward to planning the next French Society event.
