Sporting Heroes - Family Day at Bedford Museum

Bedford Museum held a family day on Saturday, 27 September to celebrate the town's sporting heroes. Local sports celebrities who were there to meet visitors and answer any questions about their sport and achievements included:
- Director of Rugby and some players from the Bedford Blues
- Matt Nielson (champion snowboarder)
- Barbara Heathfield (champion diver)
- Viking Kayak Club
- Some representatives of Bedford Town FC
- and BHSG's rowers Ellie and Emily Piggott, who will be there from 2pm to 4.30pm.
There was also demonstrations of rowing and judo, and craft activities for children, include 'make your own Olympic medal'.
