The Science of Nothing

Year 8 recently took a trip to Bedford School for a Chemistry lecture - ‘The Science of Nothing'.
It was an hour of exciting explosions, amazing experiments and even ice cream made in liquid nitrogen!
Everyone joined in awe as the speaker set his hands on fire, froze bananas and flowers, and consumed helium - making his voice go high.
It wasn't a normal lecture, but the best lecture we've all ever had!
Afterwards, everyone asked our Chemistry teachers, "Can we do that?"
Hopefully we can do these experiments again, but remember - don't try this at home!
