Poppy Appeal by Hae En Jeong
10 November 2009
The time of the year is back! Each year the nation supports the Royal British Legion's charity work.
The 2009 Poppy Appeal highlights the need to help and support the Afghan generation of the army and their families, today and throughout their lives. One of the many ways you can express your support is by wearing a poppy.
Bedford High School for Girls also showed support for this cause. The members of the charity committee willingly gave up their own personal time to sell the poppies, both around school and outside the school, by going into the town centre after school to promote the cause, which turned out to be very successful.
