Skiing at the British Interschools Challenge
Lucy and Jess Kemble represented Bedford High School for Girls in the 2009 British Interschools Challenge in Les Houches, France in March competing in the Giant Slalom and Pro-Slalom.
More than one hundred skiers competed in the challenge, and Lucy (in Upper 2) and Jess (in Lower 2) performed well and skied with confidence in challenging conditions with heavy snow falling in the Giant Slalom.
Having recently stepped up to the challenge of moving from recreational skiiers to competitive ski racers, Lucy finished 14th in both races in minis2, and Jess finished 8th and 5th in minis1. 
They will also be competing for the second year, in the British Indoor Grand Prix Series, which takes place over the summer months in the indoor ski slopes up and down the country.
