Weekend Activities

In addition to the extra-curricular activity that is available to all our pupils, we organise weekend activities for all the boarders and are optional for the older girls.  There is no extra cost to these (unless your daughter chooses to go shopping).  They are wide ranging and include:

• Trips to cities including Cambridge, Oxford, London, Brighton
• Outings to various tourist attractions such as theme parks and zoos
• Activities including quad biking, bowling, ice-skating, going to the cinema
• Seasonal activities such as fireworks displays and Easter treasure hunts
• Opportunities to visit shopping centres in locations such as Bicester, Milton Keynes and Hatfield.

There are also, free of charge, sporting opportunities for your daughter at the weekends. She will be able to make use of the school's sports complex at the weekend to go swimming and play games such as badminton in the sports hall. This is supervised by a member of the boarding staff. During summer weekends, we also use facilities in the local parks.

Many of our sports teams also have competitive events at weekends for example, rowing, lacrosse, badminton, hockey, swimming and judo.

In addition, our boarding houses have large gardens where the girls can play tennis, badminton or croquet for fun.
