Gift Aid
As a registered charity the Bedford High School Foundation qualifies for tax relief on all donations. A single donation made by cheque, online with a credit/debit card or direct debit can be significantly increased if you Gift Aid your donation(s).
Gift Aiding your donation will make a significant difference as BHSF will be able to reclaim from the Inland Revenue an extra 25p on every £1 you give. HM Revenue and Customs are also operating transitional provisions for Gift Aid donations made from 6 April 2008 until 5 April 2011, paying a Government supplement of 3p on every pound you give as well.
Gift Aid Notes
You can cancel this declaration at any time by notifying us at the address above/below.
Please notify us of any change to your name and/or address.
For your gift to qualify for inclusion under the Gift Aid scheme, you must pay an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax that the Bedford High School Foundation reclaims on your donations in the tax year.
If in future your circumstances change and you no longer pay tax on your income and capital gains tax equal to the tax that the Bedford High School Foundation reclaims, you can cancel your declaration.
If you pay tax at the higher rate you can claim further tax relief in your Self Assessment Tax return.
