Greek Lessons

Greek lessons started in September 2008 with both beginner and intermediate students in separate classes. These classes aim to encourage you to speak the minority language when in Greece. Terms run alongside the academic year with classes starting in September, January and April. For those who have already been to a beginners course in Greek, and for those who already have a reasonable understanding of the language, joining can take place at the beginning of each term. The next complete beginners course will begin each September, alongside the academic year.

Whether you have friends and relatives who speak Greek, you have a holiday house in Greece, or you want to retire to a Greek island, the lessons aim to give you a sound knowledge of the Greek language. Whereas most Greek courses teach the basics of 'Holiday Greek', this course will encourage students to speak Greek as well as reading and writing.

The classes run on a Thursday evening in the Sports and Performing Arts Complex Conference Room between 7:00-8:00pm for beginners and 8:00-9:00pm for intermediates.
