BHSG Sporting Domination

Since the beginning of March Bedford High School for Girls' Sports teams have dominated at local, county, and national levels.
Jane Axford, Head of Physical Education, attributes these successes to both staff expertise and pupil endeavour. Among many other trophies won this year, this month alone has seen the girls become:
- U15 Indoor and Outdoor County Hockey Champions
- U11 Medley Relay Swimming Champions at Bromsgrove
- U14 Indoor County Hockey Champions
- U10 Mini Hockey Champions
- U11 County Mini Hockey Champions
- U12 Herts County Lacrosse Champions
- U11 County and District netball Champions
- U11 Cross Country team - Winners at Rowney Warren
In addition
- At the British Judo Championships in Cardiff there were 2 Silver and 1 bronze medal awarded.
- In Rowing the squads have achieved a record 43 wins in open competition.
- Finally, the Junior Swimming team have been unbeaten all season.
