As the Autumn Term draws to a close, I would like to say a big ‘thank you' to all the girls in the Junior School for raising so much money for charity, once again.
Everyone enjoyed the talk given by Mrs Thompson in October about her work for Canine Partners, providing initial training for puppies as helpers for the disabled. We have collect £135.00 so far from a ‘purple accessory' day, cake sale and collection boxes distributed to the girls to fill with odd coins until Easter.
We transformed ourselves into a ‘boys school' for Children in Need in November, raising a magnificent £295.00. Many thanks to all parents who helped the girls with their outfits. A very formal ‘male' staff, complete with academic gowns, added to the fun and gave the ‘boys' a taste of education in a bygone era!
The ‘1 hour Bring & Buy Sale' on Tuesday 9 December should result in yet another large collection, this time in aid of Shelter, helping homeless children at Christmas. I look forward to giving you news of this event in the New Year.
