Lower 3 at PGL by Laurel Stewart and Georgia Urquhart
When Lower 3 went to PGL in Devon, we were all very excited in anticipation of what lay ahead.
After a long and tiresome journey, we finally got to PGL and were welcomed with lots of waves and smiles by the PGL team.
Our favourite activities were the challenge course and the high ropes!
When it was our turn on the high ropes, we found it was a strange feeling because it was a mixture of being scared, yet exhilarated, at the same time.
When the PGL staff told us to dangle over the edge of the platform, we could not believe what we were hearing. Eventually, because we didn't want to do it, she pushed us off the edge and thank goodness that was over.
After that, we found it very easy to whip speedily around the course and ended up doing it twice. That was one of our main achievements of the weekend.
Our personal achievements that we overcame included fears of heights, tiredness and learning how to work in a team.
On the challenge course, we really enjoyed it because we got really muddy and smelly! Everyone had fun. We ran through trenches of mud, got sprayed with water and dodged in and out of obstacles.
It was a great experience and we highly recommend it to the next L3s.
