Staff News from the Mathematics Department
Dr Pullen has continued his involvement in research at postdoctoral level.
Along with his collaborators based at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics at the University of Cambridge, he has published a paper entitled, ‘Global controllability with a single actuator', in the Physical Review A, a journal of the American Physical Society.
This paper is the latest in a series of papers on the subject of Quantum Control published in journals including the Journal of Optics B and the Journal of Physics A.
In addition, on the professional front, Dr Pullen has been approved as a Chartered Mathematician (CMath). This follows Dr Pullen's election, in 2006, as a Member of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (MIMA).
