Whole School The Association

Mrs James (Chair of The Association)

Last Saturday, The Association were delighted to welcome students, their families and friends of the school to our annual festive extravaganza - The Christmas Fayre.

Despite being somewhat different this year due to our COVID secure protocols, it was fantastic to see the School once again filled with fairy lights, mince pies and the aroma of mulled wine as stallholders gathered in the dining room to sell wonderful items ranging from jewellery and leather goods to hand made dog accessories and delicious local produce.

As ever, the fun continued in the repurposed girls' rooms, spacing out in classrooms and the LRC where the Junior School ran stalls making crafts, playing games, doing glitter tattoos and selling cakes. The ever-popular bottle tombola delighted over sixty winners and parents flocked to the second-hand uniform sale where our fantastic quality stock was snapped up!

The Junior Choir performed twice during the event in the Assembly Hall and added excitement could be found in the Green Room where the fayre provided the backdrop to the completion of the charity fitness challenge by the BGS rowers. It was a truly fantastic start to the festive season and thanks must go to everyone who contributed to the occasion.

The Association would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your ongoing support during 2021, a year that continues to present challenges and changes! We would like to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and we look forward to further events in 2022 with our Family Quiz in March and the 10 year Anniversary Ball taking place on Saturday 14th May.
