U11 Netball - District and County Champions
On 6th March Bedford High School for Girls U11 A and B teams travelled to Dame Alice Harpur School for the District Netball tournament.
The U11 A team beat Lincroft B's 13-0 and Dame Alice B's 13-1 putting them into the quarter finals against Daubeney. The girls dominated the game right from the start winning 6-0.
In the semi finals we faced the Bedford High B team and quick passes and good shooting ensured we won 9-1.
In the final we were up against local rivals Dame Alice. The girls played some outstanding Netball which resulted in winning 4-3 and becoming District Champions.
The B team beat Lincroft 4-3 in the third and fourth place playoffs to finish a very well deserved third place.
Following this victory the U11 A team returned to Dame Alice on the 9th March for the County Netball Tournament. They dismissed Robert Bloomfield 3-0 and then played Bedford Modern winning 2-1 and Arnold winning 5-1.
The girls met Lincroft in the semi finals playing extremely well sealing a 6-1 victory; this put them into the Finals against Dallow Primary School. A fast paced game with outstanding shooting led them to win 3-2 and Bedford High being crowned County Champions.
