Chapel Choir Sings Evensong in London
On Monday, 10 November Chapel Choir visited St Luke's, Chelsea, to sing evensong at the invitation of the Director of Music, Jonathan Leonard.
The church is situated just off the King's Road and is a very large and impressive early nineteenth century building with an excellent acoustic. This was a rewarding venue and the service was very well sung; the girls quickly became acclimatized to the building and produced a warm and resonant sound.
Mr Bond played the organ and Mr Fricker sang the responses. The service included the first performance of Dr Weston's new Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis in D minor.
