Bedford High School for Girls recently held its second ever car boot sale.

The event was a great success with many people coming to hold stalls and even more appearing to browse the selection of bargains. The car park was full of people who had filled their cars with things to be sold. Visitors were so impressed with the event that many of them asked whether we will hold a car boot sale more regularly!

In total £480 was raised through vendors paying for stall spaces and buyers paying a 50p entrance fee. In addition to this the charities committee made cakes, coffee and tea to sell.

Our thanks go to Mr Lawrence and to Mr Wright for collecting money on the gates, to Mrs Galvez for organising everything, the kitchen staff for their kind donation of biscuits and to all of the committee members who were helping throughout the day.

The money will be split between the Keech Hospice Care fund and the Devi Prasad School Building Project in Nepal that we are currently supporting.
