Sixth Form News

Over the weekend of the 24th & 25th April, 34 members of L5 took part in their practice Bronze Expedition. The girls walked on Saturday, camped overnight in tents at the Scout camp site in Bromham, cooked their own tea on stoves and then walked again on Sunday. The girls had to navigate themselves along their route whilst carrying all their own belongings.

The girls all learnt from their experiences, not least map-reading and developing their skills with a compass. We all enjoyed a great weekend, and together with many of the girls I am looking forward to the qualifying expedition later in the summer.

Finally a huge thank you to Mrs Ross for masterminding the whole weekend. Also thanks to Miss Birch and Mrs Wilson for their assistance.
