Jeans for Genes Day by Clare Greenwood, Upper 5
Jeans for Genes Day is not simply a chance to wear denim to school.
It is a major part of our charity fundraising activities, with all of the money raised going directly by the jeans for genes charity to give care and support to families affected by genetic diseases, and fund research into their causes and possible cures.
Therefore, it was great that everyone was eager to contribute their money, especially because of the new system where you can donate £1 before the day or £2 on the day.
It was wonderful to see so many girls taking part, and even a few teachers donned their jeans. Overall, a great denim-filled day was had by all, and I hope that all mufti days this year will be as successful!
