On Saturday 22 November Bedford High School for Girls' Under 15 lacrosse team travelled to Malvern St James for their Midlands Regional Lacrosse Tournament. 

In the first game, Stowe provided tough opposition and the final score was a 2 - 2 draw.  This meant that winning the next game against Wycombe Abbey, who have a fearsome reputation for lacrosse, was essential.  BHSG scored twice in the first half and always looked in control of the game coming away with a 2 - 0 win.

 A 10 - 0 win against Uppingham completed the group round robin matches and earned BHSG a semi final place against Moreton Hall. This match finished at 2 - 2 which meant extra time. Moreton Hall parents were vocal in support of their team but BHSG players kept their composure and after a fantastic goal from Claudia Barker won 3 - 2.

Wycombe Abbey had won the other semi final and were keen to have another ‘shot ‘ at beating BHSG in the final. 

BHSG by this time was firing on all cylinders however and scored three times with only one reply from Wycombe.

Bedford High School for Girls were worthy champions playing with a passion, prowess and flare that could not be matched on the day.
