Speech Day 2008

On Saturday, 15 November 2008, we welcomed back to the school those girls who left us in June following the successful completion of their A Levels and International Baccalaureate Diplomas to celebrate their results and achievements.

We were delighted to welcome Dr Jackie Hunter who is the Senior Vice President, Science Environment Development, at GlaxoSmithKline as the Guest of Honour.  Jackie is that unusual phenomenon, a successful senior vice-president at GlaxoSmithKline, a scientist and a research specialist.  

It was a lovely occasion and a chance to catch up with last year's Upper 6 in their new life post-Bedford High.  It was also an opportunity for our new scholarship holders from younger years to hear of these achievements.
