Swimming Pool

The 25m, 6-lane swimming pool at the Sports and Performing Arts Complex is open throughout the year, both term-time and holiday time for public use. Open from 6:00am every weekday morning the pool is used by the public, amateur and professional Swimming Clubs, local Primary, Lower and Middle Schools, the University of Bedfordshire, Ladies Only swimming, swimming lessons, parent and toddler sessions, pool parties, synchronised swimming and more.

The swimming pool uses conventional chemicals in the disinfection of the pool, with the use of Ozone Gas to sterilise the water. Ozone enhances the clarity and cleanliness of the pool water allowing the use of chlorine to be reduced by up to 60%. The result is a crystal clear swimming pool with no chlorine odour - either in the pool hall or on swimming costumes after swimming.
