Bedford High School Foundation was registered as a charity at the beginning of 2008. It is a separate entity from the school and administered by Trustees who include representatives of the school, parents and former pupils. The Chairman of the Foundation is a former Governor and parent.
The objects of the Foundation are to generate support for bursaries and the capital development of the school by promoting Bedford High School for Girls' achievements and aspirations as a centre of education excellence.
To do this it is looking to raise funds through the following activities:
Annual Fund - to develop a closer relationship between the school and its alumnae, parents and friends, through the medium of regular giving to projects that will be realised within a year.
Major Campaigns - to generate significant funding to support major developments for capital projects and bursary funding.
Legacies - to establish an endowment to support the long-term funding of bursaries.
The Foundation will have a key role in engaging with and informing all those with links to Bedford High School for Girls of the school's aspirations and progress, through the organisation of events and the production of publications.
The Trustees and Officers greatly look forward to the challenge ahead and welcome all opportunities to discuss ways in which everyone can become involved.
