Upper 2 History Trip

On Monday 6 October 2008 we are going on a very interesting and informative visit to Duxford, a branch of the Imperial War Museum.  The girls will be going to Hangar 4 where they will be answering a Home Front quiz and they will also be having a look at a pre-fab bungalow.

Most exciting of all, the girls will be spending some time in a wartime classroom with a strict schoolmaster.  Because of this activity, it would be great if the girls could try to dress as authentically as they can - perhaps a cotton dress and knitted cardigan with school shoes.  A little beret might be a good idea if you can get hold of one.  The girls should wear their coat or school blazer depending on the weather.

The girls should try to bring some very simple food - jam sandwiches, plain cake and fruit might be the order of the day.  They will be carrying their Gas Mask Box with them, which they should try to make at home. (See attached sheet for template).

Photographs may be taken by Duxford staff of the girls on the day.  Please indicate whether or not you agree to this on the slip below.  The girls may bring up to £5 with them as there is a well stocked gift shop.

Details have already been sent home about this trip. Please contact your daughter's from teacher if you have not received details.
