Upper 2 Visit to Randall's Farm
As part of our Geography Curriculum this term, Upper Two will be visiting Randall's Farm Environmental Education Centre at Stewartby, Bedfordshire. This will be a full day of activities based on the Water Cycle, soil studies and ecological footprints. The coach will leave at 9.00am and arrive back at school by 4.00pm.
Your daughter will need to wear long trousers, have her shoulders covered and wear sturdy footwear, as the site may have nettles and thistles growing. A waterproof jacket is advisable as we will continue to work in the rain! Packed lunches will be provided if your daughter normally has school lunch, but if she would prefer to bring something from home, please let us know so that arrangements can be made accordingly. Plenty of water should be brought along, especially if it is hot (don't forget a sunhat, too). There is no need to supply pocket money.
Please ensure that any open cuts are covered as a precaution against water-borne disease. This will be a ‘hands on' activity day and we would like everyone to be able to participate fully.
