Miss Hooker (PE Teacher)

Friday 10th June saw some of our athlete’s head to the Bedford International Athletics Stadium to compete in the East Area Prep Athletics Championships.

Under the sparkling sunny skies, BGS were amongst 50 schools vying to secure places at the Nationals for early July. We had some great performances throughout the day, personal bests and we’re delighted to say that the following athletes have qualified for the National Athletics Finals at the Pingles Stadium in Nuneaton on Monday 4th July.

U12 Megan Barnicoat in the 800m having placed 2nd.

U13 Jaya Hall in the 200m having won the event.

U13 relay team – Sienna Burger, Nazor Onuekwusi, Sophie Chapman and Jaya Hall who won too.

Many congratulations to all who participated. Your efforts throughout the term have been reflected in your performances and are thoroughly deserved.
